I won a GIVEAWAY from Lia Lane!!!!

YAY!!!  How surprised I was to receive a message from Eva indicating that I had won one of the giveaways that was being hosted on her blog, evariccistudio.com.   I just couldn't believe it!!  What first attracted me to her blog was her photography.  Her work is absolutely gorgeous!   I especially love her 2012 calendar!

Anyways, back to the giveaway topic, Eva told me that I had won a gift certificate to be put towards anything I wanted from Lia Lane.  OMG!!!  I sure had a hard time making up my mind, but I finally decided on this one.

 I love how Lia used her mixed media art techniques to create this beautiful work of art!!  I knew this piece was for me, and I just had to have it! :) 


Well,  it just arrived in the mail today! It was beautifully wrapped,  but what was even more beautiful was the folk art painting itself!  I  LOVE it!!!   It's already being proudly hung up in my studio!  Thank you so much, Lia!!!  :)))  You sure made my day!

Coffee Buzz!

I can't believe its August already! Where did the time go?  I hope this finds you well and your summer is being enjoyed.  I would love to hear about what you have been doing this summer.  Me?  Well, I've been busy keeping up with my orders, the needs of my family, and finally (YES!!) putting my hands to work... in painting and drawing. I have been enjoying that!  Maybe some day, I'll post some of my work.  Let's see if I can build up enough confidence to share. :-)

Although, I have made a few covers with zipper closures upon request,  I just haven't listed any in my shop.  I finally got around to creating one yesterday, and I am quite pleased with it.   I absolutely love this retro 'Coffee Buzz' fabric!  It's so cool!

I started today off by listing this 15 inch MacBook Pro cover in my etsy shop.  Coffee buzz anyone?  I don't know about you, but I LOVE coffee!  What's the other news buzz?  Well, you can get 15% off of anything in my shop for the month of August!
